Writing op/eds for newspapers and articles for The Conversation can be effective, accessible ways for researchers to share their work with a non-academic audience.

Join Wade Hemsworth, public relations manager in McMaster’s Communications and Public Affairs office and former Spectator journalist as he virtually walks you through the op/ed process: what makes a good topic, elements of an effective op-/d and what supports the central communications team can offer.

The role of Equity and Inclusion Champion was introduced in 2018 on various departmental committees and on all Faculty committees to help embed a culture of equity and inclusion within the Faculty of Engineering through participation on Faculty and departmental committees.
